Rabies Challenge Fund

THE RABIES CHALLENGE FUND

A sick animal should not be given vaccines, this is well known by leading Vets like Dr.jean Dodds, Dr.Ronald Schulz, William Falconer DVM, Dr. Karen Becker
The vaccine bottles themselves are labeled that they should only be given to HEALTHY animals, and even healthy animals are at risk when they are needlessly OVER VACCINATED. If a titer test can scientifically prove that an animal still has sufficient antibodies protecting them , then why is the animal subject to an unnecessary re vaccination?

If you have a dog dealing with cancer, or has ever had cancer in its life and is in remission or has had a cancerous growth successfully removed with no recurrence, that animal more than likely should never be vaccinated again, “The purpose of the rabies challenge fund was to determine if the duration of immunity from commercially available rabies vaccines” is longer than the arbitrary 1 or 3 years the industry has claimed even tho there is no scientific studies that these vaccines magically just wear off in that predetermined amount of time. In fact, titer tests have shown rabies vaccines to often last for much, much longer. In fact, YEARS longer. So if it’s being scientifically proven that these vaccines last for several years longer than originally stated, why are our pets being NEEDLESSLY OVER VACCINATED ?!

A good analogy several top revered vets have made is that when a new vet starts their career in the veterinarian world, they themselves are given a rabies vaccine, but they are NEVER re-vaccinated and given ANOTHER rabies vaccine without TITER TESTING. because they know #1 There’s no reason to re vaccinate if a rabies titer proves sufficient antibodies protecting against the disease, and #2 they know its DANGEROUS to OVER VACCINATE.
So isn’t the entire system holding a double standard if the hippocratic oath of a vet is to “solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health” and “avoiding those twin traps of over treatment ”

“Dr. Jean Dodds, RCF Co-Trustee and Principal Investigator and Dr. Ronald Schultz of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, will be preparing results of the study and details described above for scientific peer review and publication. That data will be made available to the public as soon as our paper has been accepted for publication. After completion of the peer-review process, it is our hope that this data will establish the world’s first canine rabies titer standard. If this data is further verified by the challenge phase study results, it will provide a solid scientific base enabling states to incorporate rabies serum antibody titer clauses into their laws.”

And as of 2017 there are 17 states that will consider a rabies exemption:
Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin

Rabies Exemptions and Waivers
“Rabies vaccination is required by law. In some instances, it is possible to secure a written waiver for exemption from rabies booster vaccination. A letter justifying the medical reason for such exemption needs to be obtained from your primary care veterinarian. When seeking a waiver, a rabies serum antibody titer should be performed.”
It’s important to read the exact details for your exact state that you reside in. For full details on exemptions and for links to the state laws click here
