Have you tried Fasting your dog?. As long as your dog isn’t dangerously underweight (something along the lines of 3 or lower on the BCS chart) fasting, and not feeding your dog for at least 24 hours can sometimes be the magic ticket to jumpstarting them back on track eating the the meal. We have to remember that the more we cater to them and try and “spruce up their meal” to entice them, they realize that they are winning and getting us wrapped around their paw. so, don’t get overly concerned if they don’t eat for a day or more as fasting is actually quite beneficial for dogs and humans alike.

Green lipped mussel powder sprinkled on top- this was my personal saving Grace with my picky eater. Simply pull capsule apart and sprinkle about 1/4 Of the capsule over meal

Try removing cloves if they’re used in your recipe. Some dogs do not like the smell of these

Fresh homemade dehydrated chicken or beef treats ground into powder

If you think your dog is turned off by the fat we’re using (typically coconut oil) try swapping out the fat. As equal caloric replacement for coconut oil would be -avocado oil -ghee

Try taking very small pieces of salt free butter and stuffing into the food to entice

Try taking pieces of green bean or summer squash pushed into food -use squash sparingly as it’s not 100% keto!

Pieces of sardines (salt free packed in water) stuffed into meal

Pieces of canned salmon stuffed into meal

Tinned sardine water lightly drizzled over meal

Save the myoglobin (commonly mistaken for blood) that is always present with things like beef heart, kidneys, sometimes the ground meats too. Myoglobin is not blood, it’s a protein. Lightly drizzle this over meal
