So we had a slight scare with Emie this weekend. Found a small bump that appeared on her incision scar that literally formed in a matter of hours. Of course first thing that came to mind is another MCT π‘, so… I saw the bump Sunday afternoon and called vet first thing Monday morning and got her in by 9 am. Luckily it was not MCT and just an infection from stubborn suture stitch we had issues with after her surgery. Funny little sorry was when we arrived vet tech weighed her and thought there was an issue with scale because she lost 10 lbs in the 3 months since they saw her last π I laughed and told her that the scale was right and she’s been on a very strict routine. Vet was very eager to hear about the ketogenic diet and even took notes on the website to check it out. Glad to see he was open minded and didn’t just dismiss it. Well, I guess the point of my rambling is to always have a new bump checked out asap before it could potentially get out of hand. I’ve seen way to many dogs have things overlooked and get so bad before they’re addressed and getting the jump on something can be all the difference in the world. Especially when dealing with cancer.
